    This time, I showed it to Cathy.  It held up pretty well.

62 - The Shrine

    2010 Canadian horror movie.  Two journalists and a guy investigate some missing people in a tiny village.  It's not quite what is expected, but it's a similar setup.

    This was an interesting movie.  The script isn't as good as it should be, and there are a few sequences that have the main characters making dumb decisions all over the place.  But the movie twists the setup nicely.  There are some modestly creepy sequences.  The one thing that's a really unique approach is that there's another language used during a substantial amount of the movie, and there are no subtitles.  We aren't supposed to understand them.  It feels pretty daring.

    Despite the relative cleverness of this movie, I still figured out roughly what was going to happen around 45 minutes in.
